The New England Patriots have the No. 2 seed in the AFC Playoffs and here are five reasons why the Patriots can repeat as Super Bowl Champions.

The New England Patriots are once again back in the AFC Playoffs for the 13th time in 15 years in the Tom Brady/Bill Belichick era. After losing four of their last six games, the Patriots will have to settle for the No. 2 overall seed in this year’s AFC Playoffs at 12-4. The AFC West Champion Denver Broncos, also 12-4, hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Patriots and earned home field advantage in the AFC Playoffs.

New England will await their Divisional Round foe on January 17th in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The Patriots will host either the No. 3 Cincinnati Bengals, the No. 4 Houston Texans, or the No. 5 Kansas City Chiefs in New England’s first playoff game this season.

Along with the Bengals, the Patriots, when healthy, have one of the five best rosters in the National Football League. New England is likely the biggest threat in the AFC for prospective Super Bowl-caliber teams in the NFC like the Arizona Cardinals, the Carolina Panthers, or the Seattle Seahawks.

New England will only have to win twice in the AFC Playoffs to attempt to defend their Super Bowl title, this time at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California for Super Bowl 50. Although the Patriots like most teams in the playoffs have their issues, here are five reasons that New England can repeat as Super Bowl champions this year.
