The No. 1 team in the country, Kansas, was defeated on Tuesday night by West Virginia.

The No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks had a pretty tough test on their hands Tuesday night in the form of the No. 11 West Virginia Mountaineers. Kansas had to go on the road against one of the more impressive teams in the Big 12 and, well, this was a test that they could not pass.

Throughout the entirety of the game Kansas just could not figure things out on the offensive end of the floor, which is something we all thought would happen. “Press Virginia” as they’re affectionately known came with everything they had against the best team in the country and it certainly worked. For the third time in a row, they were able to hand the Jayhawks a loss on their floor.

Now, Kansas needs to regroup following this loss, which is their first since they were defeated by the Michigan State Spartans earlier in the season.

But whenever you have the No. 1 team in the country go down, the internet is going to have some reactions.

Well, after the last three meetings, maybe they can’t.

But make no mistake about it, this team will get it together and it’ll be interesting to see these two meet up with one another in Lawrence down the road.
