When will the new Los Angeles NFL stadium open?
With the Rams returning to Los Angeles, when will the new stadium open?
The NFL is finally back in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday night it was officially announced that the St. Louis Rams would be moving back home to Los Angeles. For years it has been rumored that the Rams would be moving back and owner Stan Kroenke was never shy about his intentions to get back to the Los Angeles area.
The Rams will be playing in Inglewood, but while their stadium is being constructed, they will be playing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. While they will be there for a while, the big question is when will their new stadium be completed and ready for play?
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell answered those questions after the move to Los Angeles was announced. According to Goodell, the Rams will officially move into their new home for the 2019 season.
So it looks like the Rams won’t be in their new stadium for a while, but they’re no strangers to their former home at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. They played there for several years and will have no problem playing there until their giant new stadium is completed.
The Rams are back home, but their new stadium is still a ways away.
