Ben Roethlisberger is expected to be under center on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to come away with a win against the Cincinnati Bengals, after multiple personal fouls allowed Chris Boswell to drill a chip-shot field goal for the win. The win would come at a cost, however. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger would leave the game with a shoulder injury, before returning on the final drive to lead the team to a win. Roethlisberger was not in a sling after the game, which released a sigh of relief from fans.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Roethlisberger had ligament damage in his throwing shoulder, and he was questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Broncos. Roethlisberger also came out this week and said he had torn ligaments along with the sprained shoulder.

New information has surfaced that the

on Sunday. Roethlisberger is also expected to be limited in his arm strength, which means the deep ball threat to Martavis Bryant and company will be limited.

Roethlisberger could be without his top wide receiver and top running back in Antonio Brown and DeAngelo Williams. Brown is in the league’s concussion protocol, while Williams is dealing with a high ankle sprain. Roethlisberger and offensive coordinator Todd Haley will have to come up with a game-plan that best plays to Roethlisberger’s health and range of motion.

The Steelers were 8-4 with Big Ben under center this season, and they were 2-2 with Landry Jones and Michael Vick at the helm. It’s little question, especially given how the Wildcard Game played out, that Steelers fans would much rather have Roethlisberger at 60-70% than Landry Jones at 100%.

The Steelers will travel to Denver to take on the top seeded Broncos on Sunday afternoon at 3:40 p.m.
