Flyers forward Brayden Schenn annihilated Torey Krug and got destroyed by Kevan Miller in the same shift

The Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers have one of the most underrated and intense rivalries in hockey. They have outright hated each other since the 1970’s when the two teams constantly battled in the playoffs and the regular season. It’s only fitting that they’d be featured on Rivalry Night on NBCSN.

It didn’t take long for the two teams to get physical as Flyers forward Brayden Schenn leveled Bruins defenseman Torey Krug with a crushing hit and then got annihilated by Krug’s teammate Kevan Miller.

That’s a completely legal hit by Schenn. Nothing wrong about it at all. The hit is clearly to the chest area and not to the head. Schenn hit Krug almost immediately after Krug got rid of the puck so Krug was eligible to be hit. Finally, while the momentum of Schenn’s hit does cause him to leave his feet, Schenn does not leave his feet at all to make the hit.

Schenn had to answer for his hit on Krug. Kevan Miller absolutely destroyed him. Did you really expect anything different from these two teams on Rivalry Night?
