Newest All-Star Game votes out, Kobe top vote getter

Newest addition of the NBA All-Star Game votes are out with Kobe Bryant as the top vote getter.

The newest iteration of the 2016 NBA All-Star Game in Toronto votes have been released today. Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers continues to lead the way, followed by Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors superstar point guard. Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks and Draymond Green of the Warriors are barely in their respective starting lineups.

Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers leads the way for the Eastern Conference frontcourt with 830,345 votes. Second in frontcourt voting stands Indiana Pacers stand out Paul George. George has 569,947 votes. In the frontcourt, George and James hold a comfortable lead over New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony. Anthony stands at 368,336 votes. James, George, and Anthony are the current Eastern Conference Frontcourt starters. The current votes has Melo sneaking into the starting lineup, but that is subject to change.

For guards, Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat leads the way with 736,732 votes, the second most in the Eastern Conference currently. Kyrie Irving comes in second with 399,757 votes. Placing Irving and Wade into the starting lineup to this point.

The Western Conference is being dominated by Frontcourt stars Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors. Bryant stands with 1,533,432 votes, Durant with 774,782 votes and Green with 499,947 votes.

The Guards for the Western Conference are being dominated by Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors with 1,206,467 votes. Following Curry is Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder with 609,901 votes.

Bryant is currently the top vote getter, followed by Curry. These two leading the votes comes as no surprise with Bryant’s announced retirement, and Curry’s takeover of the NBA on the league leading Warriors.

The two starting fives are not yet set in stone, the starters will be officially announced on January 21st. The reserves will be announced a few days later on January 28th. Voting ends on Monday, January 18th, at 11:59 pm EST.
