BAE Index, 1/14/16: Block party in Portland
By Zach Oliver
Welcome to the BAE Index.
Kevin Durant yells… Loudly
Kevin Durant is a good basketball man. Sometimes good basketball men need to get fired up… Oh. Well. Um. That’s one way to do it, KD.
From the rebound, to the Wall
John Wall is really, really fast. John Wall is also really, really good at basketball. He’s also good at floating in the air and going around the world, as was the case on Wednesday night. He just does this so easily… I wish I could do this. Teach me your ways, John.
Steph from Boulder
The Golden State Warriors lost a game. That, in and of itself is big news. In other news, Stephen Curry had another ho-hum 20 point quarter, torching the Nuggets for 20 in the fourth… Oh, and he made seven of his eight shots, and all three of his triples… Oh… And the last one was from Boulder. Or the Rockies… You know, maybe it was from Oakland, actually.
Aminu swats Burke
Al-Farouq Aminu is well traveled in the NBA, but has been finding his niche over the last few seasons. After signing a nice deal with the Portland Trail Blazers in the summer, Aminu is putting together a career year. Wednesday he reminded us why he was given the deal he got, swatting the mess out of this lazy offering from Trey Burke. Better luck next time, Trey.
Block party in Portland
Al-Farouq Aminu wasn’t the only Trail Blazers getting in on the blocks action. Mason Plumlee, who’s also been a nice surprise on the biggest surprise in the league, wasn’t having any of this offering from Rodney Hood. I think what this shows us is you should never, ever take the ball to the hole against the Blazers.
