SF—Harrison Barnes ($5,400)
The Golden State Warriors suffered just their third loss of the 2015-16 season on Wednesday night while Draymond Green was out of the lineup to rest. He’ll again be resting on Thursday night as the Warriors take on the lowly Los Angeles Lakers and, despite the fact that it’s not favorable to Golden State’s chances at continuing their winning ways, that means good things for Harrison Barnes as a fantasy option.
On Wednesday night, Barnes had a really solid outing without Green in the lineup and with his workload in the rotation being forced to increase. The forward who recently returned from missing over a month with an ankle injury put up 18 points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals on the night. He plays a key role for the Warriors with Green out in that he is asked not only to play at the three, but also to fill in at the four as the Warriors still try to play a lessened version of their small ball lineups.
The Lakers have been abysmal for most of the season and, despite the fact that they won their last game, that’s not changing any time soon. Barnes should be in a position to again produce in a big way as a sleeper on DraftKings.
