How to bet the Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots.
The Kansas City Chiefs are hoping to pull off an upset on Saturday afternoon against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. Despite being a relatively new power in the National Football League, Kansas City is not an overwhelming underdog against the defending Super Bowl champions.
New England is a 4.5-point favorite going into the contest, according to OddsShark. The OVER/UNDER is set at 43, with the Vegas oddsmakers expecting a defensive struggle.
Both teams are dealing with some serious injuries. New England is not sure how much it is going to get out of tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is dealing with back and knee injuries. The Patriots are also hoping to get some ample production out of left tackle Sebastian Vollmer and wide receiver Julian Edelman.
On the flip side, Kansas City also has some major problems. Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is dealing with a high ankle sprain that he sustained in Saturday’s game against the Houston Texans. Both Maclin and outside linebacker Justin Houston are game-time decisions, with Houston dealing with a knee injury sustained back in Week 12.
If you are hoping to make some money on the game, Kansas City is undefeated in its last five games on the road against the spread. Meanwhile, the Patriots are 2-5-1 ATS over their last eight games. Considering the Chiefs are on an 11-game winning streak, perhaps they are the right bet … outright.
