High Salary W

Patrick Sharp-Dallas Stars ($7,000): Sharp is a can’t-miss fantasy winger right now, and the fact that he will cost nearly $2,000 less than Patrick Kane makes him an even more attractive option tonight. Sharp has been playing at another level lately and is working on a 12-game point streak. As far as daily fantasy hockey goes, he’s put up at least four fantasy points in seven of the last eight games and hit six or more in three of those games. He will likely be owned by many people, but don’t let that deter you.

Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,900): Kane continues to be one of the top fantasy options at any position. He didn’t pick up any points last night but has been red hot over the last several games. He’s got 13 points over the last nine games and his 5.3 fantasy points average is the highest among all wingers tonight. Kane will cost you but he’s worth the high salary more times than he isn’t.

Jamie Benn-Dallas Stars ($8,600): Benn has had a fantastic year for a high-powered Stars offense. He currently sits in second place with 25 goals and is also second in total points with 53. Things have been a bit slow for him lately with just one point over his last five games but he’s capable of heating up at any moment. Anyway you look at it, Benn is a solid fantasy option.

High Value W

Ryan O’Reilly-Buffalo Sabres ($6,000): O’Reilly is stil on a tear with a four-game point streak. He’s up to 37 points on the year and has been a great source of offense for a Buffalo team that’s struggled otherwise. With eight points over his last nine games, O’Reilly has turned into a fantasy gem. Unfortunately, he’ll face Boston tonight, a team ranked second against wingers.  That stat should keep his ownership low, making him a fine selection.

Nikolaj Ehlers-Winnipeg Jets ($3,600): With so many high-priced options on the board tonight you’ll have to look deep to find some value that will save cap space. One of those guys is Nikolaj Ehlers. He started the season hot but has cooled off considerably with just three points over his last 15 games. Still, he scored a goal Thursday night and now was a two-game goal streak going. Take a chance on Ehlers tonight in a decent matchup with Minnesota.

Kris Versteeg-Carolina Hurricanes ($4,100): Versteeg has been playing well as of late despite being blanked last night. Prior to last night he had a three-game point streak with eight points in eight games. Versteeg has quietly recorded 27 points for a Carolina team thats’ been playing some great hockey as of late. Take Versteeg on a flier and save some valuable cap space.
