FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 15
Tonight is a full Friday of NBA action with nine games on tap, so get your DFS fantasy basketball lineup set with the help of my FanDuel Daily Picks.
18 teams look to start the weekend in style on tonight’s nine-game NBA slate. Most of the games are early with no game starting later than a 9:30 PMET tip time, so it shouldn’t be a super-late night even if you stay up all the way to the final minutes of tonight’s action. To help you start your weekend with a fantasy basketball win, I’ve assembled my FanDuel daily picks that represent who I think are the best plays of the day.

The first games of the evening start at the typical 7:00 PM ET with the Thunder hosting the T-Wolves on ESPN in a rematch of a game from earlier this week. Also at 7:00, the Pacers and Wizards meet for the second time this season. Two more games get underway at 7:30 as two East Coast teams welcome in Western Conference opponents with Boston hosting Phoenix and Brooklyn taking on the Trail Blazers. At 8:00, three games tip off including a meeting of the current and former Hornets as Charlotte visits New Orleans joined by Hawks-Bucks and Bulls-Mavericks. The Nuggets will look to build on their win over the Warriors at 9:00 as they take on the Heat, and at 9:30 its LeBron vs James (Harden) as the Cavs finish their Texas back-t0-back in Houston.
With those 18 teams taking the floor, there is no shortage of options for tonight’s fantasy contests. I’ve collected my favorite players for today’s contests on the following slides in my FanDuel daily picks. At each position, you’ll find a slide for high-salary options and a slide for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two options with a few extras thrown in where possible. I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.
Since the start of 2016, I also have started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but the short version is “more stars=more confidence.” On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineups for tonight’s contests.
