Maples Leafs prospect Kasperi Kapenen has been immortalized on a stamp after winning the World Juniors for Finland in overtime.

For a Finnish team that scored so many goals in the World Juniors, Kasperi Kapanen only had two to his name. But his second goal is one that will live on forever as it won Finland the gold medal on home ice against Russia in a tournament they won’t soon forget.

To capture the moment, the goal was put on a postage stamp so that anyone who receives mail will have their own piece of Finland’s gold-medal win.

Leafs fans who watched the tournament will be thrilled that one of their prospects won a gold medal after fellow prospects Mitch Marner, Travis Dermott, and William Nylander crashed out of the tournament early.

The Leafs acquired Kasperi Kapanen from the Penguins in exchange for star forward Phil Kessel. Now that Kessel has had an underwhelming first season with Pittsburgh, Leafs fans will be hoping their return on investment will pay off. He has already proven himself on a big stage while scoring the most important goal. But considering the Leafs’ awful history, this could be the last competition that Kapanen will ever win.
