The Detroit Pistons have gotten very creative in their campaign to make Andre Drummond a starter for the upcoming NBA All-Star game in Toronto. There has been President Barack Obama rapping Jumpman from Drake and Future with a Drummond twist. They also put out a Powerball ticket with Drummond’s stats that ended up not winning the over $1 billion jackpot. Wanting to get one final push out for their star center before voting closes soon, the Pistons once again went back to the Obama well, this time having him channel some Eminem.

It is just great work from the Pistons here. Drummond absolutely deserves to be in the game thanks to his incredible season, but with the plethora of stars in the East front court it won’t be easy for him to win a fan vote. Luckily, things like these campaigns should help, and at the very least get Drummond into the minds of fans who down the road will need new stars to vote for.
The best part is that the Pistons will need to continue to up their own efforts ever year, meaning things will just get better from now on. Considering how far ahead of everyone else the Pistons are in their marketing at this point, it is exciting to see where that ends up taking us.
