Derek Fisher is on thin ice with the New York Knicks, so here are five guys who could replace him on the bench

Head coach Derek Fisher’s days may be numbered on the bench for the New York Knicks. In the Big Apple, fans expect the Knicks to compete for championships and they wouldn’t even be in the playoffs if the season ended today. Phil Jackson may be forced to pick a different man to lead the Knicks at MSG.

Some might be surprised that the Knicks are thinking about parting ways with Fisher given their demonstrated improvement this season. Still, NBA insiders like Brian Windhorst and Zach Lowe keep hearing rumblings that Fisher might not be safe. It’d be a curious time to make a coaching change, but that would be par for the course for the Knicks over the past decade.

Instead of focusing on whether or not Fisher deserves to get fired, let’s instead turn our attention to who might be next in line at the Garden. The job will be much more attractive now compared to when Fisher was first hired due to the addition of rookie Kristaps Porzingis. Simply put, this is a job that can now attract some of the biggest names in the industry. So without further delay, here are five men who might be next in line for the Knicks.
