The Kansas City Chiefs can breathe a little easier now because Jeremy Maclin will be on the field Saturday.

In a short time here on this January Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs will play their most important game of the season as they take on the New England Patriots in one of the AFC Divisional Playoff games. However, there has been one worry all week long surrounding the team, that being the status of wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

Well, Chiefs fans, you can all breathe a sigh of relief for the time being.

After battling through an ankle injury all week leading up to this one, Maclin is indeed active for the Chiefs and will be on the field to try and help them advance to the AFC Championship Game.

That right there was the news that the team was waiting for all week. The Chiefs are a great team and can certainly take down the Patriots in their home stadium, but things will go a lot smoother if Maclin is out there as healthy as can be and making plays like he has been all season long for this unit.

Of course, while Maclin is active, no one really knows for certain how healthy he actually is. But, that’s just something we’re going to have to wait a little bit here and see when game time hits.

But for now, Chiefs fans can revel in the fact that their star wide receiver will be out there.

This season, Maclin caught 87 balls for 1,088 yards and eight touchdowns.
