93.
Philly almost knocked off Chicago on Thursday night, and they were quite competent in that particular game. Still, the Sixers have lost four straight games and six out of their last seven, and a 4-37 record basically ensures that the team can’t escape this list in some form or fashion.

The offensive side of the ball is the source of most of the issues, and the season-long numbers are jarringly bad. The Sixers are scoring only 93.4 points per 100 possessions on the year, and even with that number (slightly) improving as the season progresses, it can’t be explained away in a few sentences.

The talent level if brutal, and Brett Brown deserves all kinds of credit for even generating four wins. Rinse and repeat.
. (4-37). Previous: . Philadelphia 76ers. 2. team

86.
Woof.

Minnesota probably isn’t “worse” than Philly right now, but a nine-game losing streak will do wonders for the argument between the two teams. The Wolves were utterly hapless in a 20-point loss to Oklahoma City on Friday night, and while there is no shame in losing to the Thunder on the road, it was a microcosm of the issues that have emerged during this stretch.

Sam Mitchell, in all candor, appears overmatched as the head coach, and many of the issues for this talented roster stem from that. At the same time, though, some of the players on the roster are not currently playing at a level that is defensible when compared to their talent level, and the result has been a defensive mess to the tune of 113.7 points allowed per 100 possessions during the losing skid.

The Wolves have a significant lead on the Lakers for the worst record in the West and a massive advantage over Philly when evaluating the whole league. Right now, however, Minnesota is playing as poorly as any team in the NBA.
. (12-28). Previous: . Minnesota Timberwolves. 1. team
