Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb made the catch of the year with one hand… and it’s gone
There have been some extremely impressive catches of the years in the NFL. Imagine the one that could have been. Randall Cobb of the Green Bay Packers made an incredible catch against the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional Playoffs.
Too bad it didn’t count because of off-setting penalties. All that effort and that beautiful, graceful one-handed catch were for naught.
Randall Cobb makes an incredible effort to make that catch. That’s seriously up there with Odell Beckham’s infamous one-handed grab that propelled him to stardom. It’s a shame it doesn’t count because you’re not going to find many catches better than this one.
Cobb had 79 receptions, good for 829 receiving yards during the regular season. He is Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target with Jordy Nelson out for the season. He also had six receiving touchdowns during the regular season. He had three catches for 38 receiving yards and a touchdown last week against the Washington Redskins.
Cobb was removed for the game because he was injured sadly. But man, imagine if this catch would have stood. Arguably the best catch of the playoffs and maybe even the best since Beckham’s.
