Stephen Curry can knock down jumpers from the Pistons logo like it’s a lay-up
The Golden State Warriors haven’t looked quite as invincible lately as they did at the start of the season, largely because they’ve been in the middle of a brutal stretch on their schedule. However, even playing a slew of back-to-backs and only getting a couple of days off over a little more than a week can’t stop reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry from knocking down ridiculous jumpers with ease against the Detroit Pistons.
In the first quarter, Curry was following the break as the trail man. As soon as he crossed mid-court, though, Draymond Green fed him the ball. Rather than setting up any kind of offensive set, though, Steph chose to just pull up from the “P” in the Pistons logo at center court with 18 seconds left on the shot clock. Of course, it was silky:
For 99 percent of players and essentially 29 other teams in the NBA, that is an absolutely awful offensive trip down the floor. For the Warriors with Curry at their disposal, that’s exactly the type of shot they want.
At this point, that’s really just what the Pistons get as a defense for not picking him up at the opposite free throw line. That’s pretty much what opponents have to do at this point to keep him from knocking down ridiculous jump shots like this one.
