The best sleepers at each position for DraftKings daily fantasy basketball on Saturday, Jan. 17

The NBA has seemingly been busy for most nights in the past week, particularly the past two nights when there has been over half of the league in action on both nights. However, the action is much more scarce on Sunday, Jan. 17 as there are only five games on the schedule and only 10 teams in action. That means that there will be 10 teams for daily fantasy basketball players to sift through to try and comprise the best lineups and find the best sleepers.

On Saturday, there was a fantastic mix of big-time performing high salary players and some sleepers that really played over their head. Two of the best sleepers that came to light were New York Knicks guard Langston Galloway ($3,400) who put up 33.8 fantasy points and Detroit Pistons forward Marcus Morris ($5,200) who put up 39 points. Moreover, Philadlephia 76ers forward Richaun Holmes ($3,000) came up in a big way with 31 points. The biggest sleeper may have been Los Angeles Clippers center Cole Aldrich ($3,500) who finished the night with 45 fantasy points.

There’s no question that DFS players will be looking to find the same type of value on Sunday, despite the fact that there are fewer games on the schedule. In terms of simple logistics, that there are fewer games on the schedule means fewer players that could emerge as sleepers. However, that also severely increases the importance of identifying the right sleepers as they are at a premium.

The slate of action on Sunday will get started in the afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET with the Phoenix Suns vs. Minnesota Timberwolves. The Dallas Mavericks take on the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat take on the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 7 p.m. ET start. Next up will be the Indiana Pacers vs. Denver Nuggets at 8 p.m. ET with the night finishing with the Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers at 9:30 p.m. ET.

As always be sure to keep in touch with FanSided’s fantasy basketball hub. There, DFS players can find advice for both DraftKings and FanDuel on a daily basis ranging from the best high salary players, the best values, the top sleepers, and more on a given day.

With that out of the way, it’s time for the sleepers. These are the best sleeper picks at each position for DraftKings daily fantasy basketball on Sunday, Jan. 17.
