Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen left the playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks with a hurt shoulder.

At this stage of the season, no team can afford any major injuries to star players. During the NFC Divisional round game between the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks, the Panthers lost Greg Olsen to an injury late in the game.

Olsen appeared to have hurt his shoulder and was tended to immediately by the Panthers’ medical staff and trainers.

Olsen is one of the biggest targets for Cam Newton and Carolina, if not the biggest. The tight end has been making big catches all year for the team and against the Seahawks, he made some amazing catches, including a big touchdown.

Losing Olsen would be a huge loss for Carolina, as he’s the favorite target. They have Ed Dickson behind him, who is another solid option for Newton, but Olsen has established himself as one of the superstar tight ends in the league.

If it’s a shoulder injury, then it could be something serious, as it would greatly affect his ability to catch the ball and hold blocks on offense.

Olsen has become a fan favorite and it’s a shame to see him go down at this point of the season. Hopefully he can get back on the field and get back to making big catches on offense for the Panthers.
