Miami ended its three-game losing streak on Friday night thanks to Hassan Whiteside’s third career triple-double in which he recorded a ridiculous 11 blocks along with 19 points and 17 rebounds. On the season, he’s averaging 12.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per contest. He’s been a bright light during the Heat’s solid start.
Basically everyone atop the Western Conference standings is red-hot right now. The Oklahoma City Thunder might be the conference’s third-best team, but they have won three straight and have proven that they can play with anyone in the league. In fact, Oklahoma City is 21-4 against Western Conference foes this year.
Kevin Durant is playing his typical MVP-type basketball, averaging 26.5 point, 7.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game while the Robin to his Batman, Russell Westbrook, is putting up 24.4 points, 9.5 assists and 7.1 rebounds per game. These two are probably the most dynamic duo in the league and very nearly unstoppable together.
