Anderson Varejao took his flopping game to new heights against the Warriors.
Matthew Dellavedova was recently voted the dirtiest player in the league, but if there was a poll for most theatrical, we’re pretty sure Anderson Varejao would be up for it after he made Festus Ezeli’s small contact look like a criminal offense on Monday as the Cavaliers host the Warriors at home:
I guess that’s why they call him Sideshow Bob — that and the hair. Varejao needs to be more careful when he flops or else the Cavaliers could actually lose him for the season, like they did last year.
For a game that’s being broadcast on national television and where the league had the date circled since the beginning of the season, expect Varejao to receive a flopping warning. It wouldn’t be the first time that it’s happened to him either.
The Cavaliers caught themselves in an early hole against the Warriors. They apparently forgot to guard Steph Curry as he nearly outscored the entire Cavaliers team in the first quarter. They’ve started to come back though, and dirty antics aside, this has been a fun game to watch — as has been expected.
