Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant gave an honest response about what he thinks of the media.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has always been completely honest about his thoughts and has never been afraid to call things like he sees it. Sometimes with his honesty, words have been twisted and there has been an image of Durant not necessarily liking the media.

This could stem from his strong bond and friendship with the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and how he perceives the media treats him. It could also lead to a variety of other factors, such as Durant maybe not getting as much respect as the other superstars in the NBA.

However, despite whatever perception that people might have about Durant and the media, there are no hard feelings between Durant and the media.

Durant told ESPN’s Royce Young, that he had no issues with the media and if he had a certain problem with certain people, then he wouldn’t be talking to those individuals.

"“I also got something else to say, if you guys don’t mind,” Durant said, unprompted by any question. “I’ve seen over the last couple of days, or couple of years, actually, that I hate the media. I actually do love you guys. If I hated someone, I wouldn’t talk to them, I wouldn’t interact with them, I wouldn’t laugh and joke with them, I wouldn’t talk about anything other than what you guys ask me.”"

That quote right there is classic Durant. It’s pure honesty and sincerity in its finest form and it really provides tremendous insight into the individual that he is.

As one of the league’s ambassadors, Durant has to carry his life at a certain standard that other players in the league might not have to. While he may appear standoffish at times, it has nothing to do with the media.

That’s why Durant doesn’t want anyone to have any false perceptions about what he thinks of the media.
