New Titans general manager Jon Robinson is open to field offers for the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans selected the electrifying and immensely talented quarterback Marcus Mariota with the No. 2 overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft, but that didn’t reverse the team’s fortunes. The Titans finished the 2015 regular season with just a 3-13 record, which left them cleaning house on the sideline and in the front office and with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

However, there’s at least a chance that they might not be picking at No. 1 come draft day.

The Titans introduced Jon Robinson as their new general manager on Monday afternoon and Robinson answered questions and talked a bit in an introductory press conference. In all of this, Robinson spoke about the Titans’ draft pick and stated that he and the organization are willing to “look at any and all offers” for the No. 1 pick and will weigh them accordingly:

Robinson also added that he is excited about this opportunity in Tennessee and the opportunities that the organization has in regards to the draft and elsewhere.

It will certainly be interesting to see what the Titans and Robinson wind up doing with this No. 1 pick. Though they added Mariota just last offseason, they still have major holes all over their roster that could stand to be filled by a top-end draft pick. However, if they got an offer that brought in a king’s ransom of picks and players, it’d be hard for a new general manager in Robinson to turn it down.

If it’s only January and these things are already being discussed, though, it’s going to be a hectic four months until the draft.
