53.
So why do we have the Browns taking Paxton Lynch? Because they are the Browns. The right pick would clearly be Jared Goff, who is a polished prospect and could start here from Day One and be an immediate impact player. Instead, Cleveland will go with the flash and potential of Lynch, who stunk against Auburn in the Birmingham Bowl and still has to iron out plenty of issues in his game.

Cleveland has a horrendous track record of drafting since owner Jimmy Haslam came into the picture, and there is no reason to believe that something called Sashi Brown is going to change that. Maybe the Browns get lucky and Lynch turns into a really good player, but the odds are that the Browns will poison his development and send him the way of Brandon Weeden and Johnny Manziel.

Lynch has a big body at 225 pounds and can shake off the defenders just like Ben Roethlisberger, but can he be a prolific passer? Considering the top receiver on the team might be Travis Benjamin followed closely by Brian Hartline, it might be a long shot. Cleveland has shown no signs of life, and there is reason to believe that it continues here.
. QB. Memphis. Paxton Lynch. 2. player
