New England Patriots

If Marshawn Lynch wants to go to the team that will give him the best chance to win another Super Bowl and wants to prove everyone wrong, why not go to the perennial contender that always seems to have a chip on their shoulder? Lynch and the Patriots would be an interesting fit to say the least, but if the Patriots were able to control Randy Moss, why not take that risk with Lynch?

Lynch would obviously need to humble himself and realize that he isn’t an every down back anymore if he wants to sign with the Patriots. The contract would also have to be dirt cheap since the Patriots likely don’t want anything to do with the head aches that Lynch can cause. It would have to be the kind of contract that the Pats could dump at any given moment.

If the Patriots have a glaring weakness, it’s their lack of a running game. Part of that is because they have arguably the best quarterback ever in Tom Brady. Teams with Tom Brady tend to not want to run the ball that much. However, New England averaged just 3.7 yards per carry during the regular season, 30th among NFL teams.

They clearly need to do something to address that. Bringing in a tough back like Marshawn Lynch could fix the Patriots lone weakness and make them Super Bowl contenders in 2016.
