Ron Rivera bans hoverboards at Carolina’s facility
Panthers head coach Ron Rivera has banned hoverboards in the team’s facility after catching players racing each other.
Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera is the front-runner for NFL Coach of the Year and he’s got the Panthers one game away from the Super Bowl. No matter what happens on Sunday, the Panthers future is bright and it all starts at the top with Rivera.
His players love him and he’s widely respected around the league. While he has been a great coach for the Panthers, he has also had to play the role of team dad at times during this season.
After banning the baseball bats the team would carry around before games, Rivera is now banning something else. While Rivera was at the team’s facility, he caught a couple of players racing each other on their hoverboards.
With that seeming like a stupid thing with so much on the line for the season, Rivera has banned hoverboards at the Panthers’ facility.

With plenty of reports of people going to hospitals because of hoverboard injuries and hoverboards causing fires while charging, it makes sense that Rivera would want to ban them.
While they are the current fad among celebrities and athletes, they’re quickly running their course and sooner or later they will be a forgotten element.
Rivera just wants his team to focus on getting to the Super Bowl and not screwing around with some hoverboards.
