Steve Kerr apparently still has the sweet stroke from long distance, as he nails a ridiculous half-court shot during a Golden State Warriors practice.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is slowly working his way back to the sidelines after experiencing complications from offseason back surgery. Kerr has traveled with his team the last few weeks and at some point will be healthy enough to coach the reigning NBA Champion Warriors again.
Kerr’s recovery seems to be in a good place after experiencing difficulties stemming from a spinal tap and a resulting illness from early complications from his surgery. At Monday’s shoot-around in Cleveland, Ohio before the Warriors take on the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time this season, Kerr hit a crazy underhand shot from half court. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for the Golden State head coach.

Kerr was able to hurl the underhand shot attempt from half court right on target. His shot attempt was high arcing, hitting the backboard with grace before circling around the rim one and a half times before deciding that it belonged through the cylinder for three points.
While there is not a set date for Kerr to return to the sidelines as head coach for Golden State, being able to sink a half that effortlessly has to bode well for Kerr’s recovery from offseason back surgery. Golden State is still the best team in the NBA with a 37-4 record, but have dropped two of their last three games including a blowout in Auburn Hills to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night, 113-95.
Though Luke Walton has done a marvelous job leading the Warriors in Kerr’s absence, the team is probably anxiously awaiting the return of its full-time head coach. His trick shot from half-court has to come as a positive for what is already the best team in the NBA in 2015-16.
