Daniel Bryan will be visiting with doctors this week, so a Royal Rumble appearance might be in the cards.
The medical saga of Daniel Bryan may be coming to an end soon, and quite possibly at the perfect time. According to PW Insider, Bryan is scheduled to meet with doctors later this week in the hopes of finally becoming medically cleared to compete in the ring once again. Of course, this news is very much significant because should he get that clearance, he would be available for the Royal Rumble on Sunday.
Bryan competed at WrestleMania last year where he won the Intercontinental Championship in the opening match, but for the second year in a row, he was knocked out of action shortly thereafter with what we learned was a concussion. Since then, Bryan has stated numerous times that he has been cleared to return by his own doctors, but WWE doctors have been reluctant to give him the green light, frustrating not only him but the fans who sorely want to see him back in that ring again.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has been an integral part of the Rumble match for the last two years, but not exactly for the right reasons. In 2014 he was at the height of his popularity and the fans were clamoring for a win from him in the bout, but they chose to go with Batista instead. In 2015, fans were again looking for a Bryan win, but what they got instead was him being eliminated very early in the bout and Roman Reigns getting the nod.
Should he get the clearance from the doctors this week, there is a good chance that they will have him in that match on Sunday for the WWE title (that he never lost), which could be a good or bad thing. If they have him win the match, then everyone will finally be happy. But if he gets eliminated in humiliating fashion again, especially after stunning everyone with a surprising appearance, that might not end well.
