Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has responded to comments that the Broncos are going to hit him in the knees.

There’s no love lost between the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos as they get set to do battle again in the AFC Championship Game. One of the key components to the game will be Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. The last time the two teams met, Gronkowski was carted off the field with a knee injury.

Broncos cornerback Chris Harris was on Sportscenter Tuesday, and he said the best way to stopping Gronkowski was to hit him in the knees.

After Harris made his comments about stopping Gronkowski, it rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Many felt that he was advocating low blows and cheap shots at Gronkowski’s knees, which he has had surgeries on before.

With everyone talking about what Harris said, Gronkowski decided to troll his comments and the rest of the Broncos on Twitter.

It’s easy to see that Gronkowski isn’t too happy with the way that Broncos defenders have been tackling him. Add in the fact that he got carted off the field the last time in Denver, and it makes all the sense in the world for him to troll them on Twitter.

Gronkowski is a big target and trying to tackle him up high is a recipe for disaster, which is why teams go low on him. Gronkowski feels that the Broncos go too unnecessarily low on him with the shots that they take.

It’s easy to see that Gronkowski is plenty motivated for Sunday’s huge heavyweight showdown.
