Russell Westbrook threw down another vicious one-handed dunk on Tuesday night

If there’s one vendetta in the league that seems to pop up every other night, it’s Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook and his plight to destroy every single basketball rim that’s put in front of him. There’s no one in the league that attacks the rim with such viciousness as Westbrook, which he did again on Tuesday night as the Thunder took on the Denver Nuggets.

In a tight game nearing the end of the second quarter, Westbrook ducked his head—which should have put everyone on the floor on notice to just get the hell out of the way. He drove through the lane and then rose up to throw down a patented one-handed jam that may or may not have been measurable on the Richter Scale:

Westbrook is one of the few people in the NBA that is able to make even uncontested dunks into highlights because of the authority that he throws it down with every single time. I have no idea what rims have done to him in the past to make him hate them so much, but he pretty clearly wants to bring about their demise.

Though no one is really talking about it, Westbrook deserves to at least be in MVP consideration through the first half of the season. The Thunder point guard has been absolutely incredible this year in terms of production and, as seen here, in terms of waging a war on every single rim he comes into contact with.
