Who are the favorites to win the 2016 WWE Royal Rumble match?
One of WWE’s biggest events annually will take place on Sunday, Jan. 24 from Orlando, FL as the 2016 Royal Rumble is ready to go down. However, the traditional 30-man Royal Rumble match itself holds a little more intrigue than normal as it will be the first Rumble match in history where the WWE Champion will defend his belt in the match itself.
Roman Reigns will be putting the WWE World Heavyweight Championship up for grabs at the Rumble at the behest of Vince and Stephanie McMahon. Only further stacking the deck against Reigns, the McMahon’s also revealed on the go-home episode of Monday Night RAW that Reigns will enter the match at No. 1.
The odds are stacked against Roman, but that doesn’t mean he’s still not one of the favorites and the first batch of betting odds from Bovada agree. Reigns has the second best prop odds to win the Rumble at +225. However, it’s the leader of The Authority in Triple H that is the favorite right now at +105 while Brock Lesnar comes in just behind Reigns at +250. No one else is even remotely close after that trio.

There are certainly a number of interesting things about this, most notably that Rusev has the fourth best odds while two of the three superstars with +1800 odds (Rock and Bryan) haven’t been around since approximately WrestleMania 31. Moreover, the presences of Styles and Nakamura in the odds is curious as well.
All in all, there is a ton of intrigue around the Rumble given the stipulation with the title on the line, the injuries throughout the roster, and the possible arrival of the New Japan talent. The Royal Rumble is going to be must-see programming on Sunday night.
