High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,900):  KCP has at least 20 points in four of his last seven games and has been able to reach 25 fantasy points in seven of his last nine.  His bad games are pretty dreadful, but he has been on his game more often than not lately, and he’s in a good matchup tonight at home against the Rockets who allow the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.

Louis Williams-Los Angeles Lakers (5,800): Williams continues to score points for the Lakers, but his non-scoring numbers have vanished over his last few games causing his fantasy production (and his price) to dip.  He has at least 18 points in nine of his last ten games, but he has been held under 30 fantasy points in each of his last three games due to an empty stat line in other categories.  Tonight, I think he’ll be able to fill it in a bit more against the Kings who allow the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. He’s lower risk than Caldwell-Pope but he doesn’t have quite the stat-stuffing ability either.

Avery Bradley-Boston Celtics (5,400): A player who hardly ever struggles with peripheral production because he logs so many minutes is Boston’s Avery Bradley who has played at least 35 minutes in each of his six games back from his latest injury.  He played 43 minutes against Dallas in his most recent game on Monday finishing with 38.1 fantasy points on 19 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  He has at least 24 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and he managed a solid 13 points, five boards, three assists, and a block despite a bad shooting night the first time the C’s met the Raptors earlier this season.

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (5,100): Hood has scored in double digits in nine of his last ten games and each of his last five since returning from a brief absence due to an ankle injury.  He has at least 22 fantasy points in four of those five games and usually gets enough court time to return solid value while the Jazz are without Alec Burks to help fill in their wing rotation.

Allen Crabbe-Portland Trail Blazers (4,600): After a nice run in the Blazers starting lineup while Damian Lillard was sidelined, Crabbe is back to coming off the bench for Portland but he still retains some fantasy value at this price.  He has scored at least 25 fantasy points in three of his last four games and is coming off a solid game against the Wizards when he scored 14 points and added four rebounds, there assists, and two steals.  Crabbe is risky coming off the bench against the Hawks tonight, but he almost always is good for some numbers especially at home.

Langston Galloway-New York Knicks (3,800): I’m not saying you should, but if you did need to come down to the cheap seats at the bottom of the salary structure,  Langston Galloway would be the top name I’d target.  Galloway played well in a spot start on Saturday against Memphis finishing with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds on his way to 30.7 fantasy points. He probably won’t see that kind of time against the Jazz tonight, but he has at least 15 fantasy points in three straight games which is enough to make him the cheap option I like the most at SG.
