Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson accidentally hit Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green right in the eye.

Nothing will derail an individual quicker quite like a shot to the eye. Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green took a nasty shot to his left eye on Wednesday night, when Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson accidentally popped him right in that area.

As Green was working offensively on Gibson, he went to spin around and put up a quick jump shot on the Bulls’ forward. Instead, he spun right into Gibson’s hand which connected right with his eye.

Green fell immediately as he missed badly on the shot and clutched his face immediately in pain from getting hit right in the eye.

Getting hit right in the eye is serious business and it can leave swelling and impairment that can leave lasting effects on a player’s vision. It’s happened multiple times before in basketball and it’s one of the little things that players have to watch out for on the court.

Gibson did nothing malicious and it was purely an accident. Gibson’s hand was up ready for the Green shot, but Green spun so quick that his head met Gibson’s hand.
