Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton doesn’t get nervous in big games like the one he’ll be playing on Sunday

For his entire life, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has succeeded in big games. He saved arguably the two best performances of his college career for his two biggest games against Alabama and in the National Championship game. He won the Heisman Trophy and a national title for his ability to come through in big games.

“I don’t get nervous,” Newton said, via ESPN.com. “I’ve been playing football for too long for me to get nervous. I used to dream of being in this type of position. This is why you play football games. I idolized the quarterbacks that would be in these positions and dream like, ‘Man, I hope, I pray I get an opportunity to do it.'”

Cam Newton looks to become one of the few players in history to win a Heisman Trophy, a national title in college, and a Super Bowl. He’ll need to come up big on Sunday against a very tough Arizona Cardinals defense. The Panthers are in good hands because their leader has been playing in big games all of his life. And he has succeeded in them.
