No. 21 USC Trojans vs Oregon Ducks

Andy Enfield took over the USC basketball program in 2013 and everyone believed the former Florida Gulf Coast coach would revive the Trojans and really turn them into a perennial Pac-12 contender. It’s taken two-plus seasons, but the Trojans are in the AP Top 25 and looking to win the conference title as they’re 4-1 through five Pac-12 games.

Traveling to Oregon to take on the 14-4 Ducks will be no easy task, but these Trojans have already won two tough road games in conference play. USC has six guys who average in double figures and, as a team, the Trojans put up about 85 points per game — a really explosive offense. If they can do that to Oregon Thursday, they’ll be in good shape.

Oregon, on the other hand, has already lost two conference games and will be looking to make a serious run toward the Big Dance, and it would start with a huge home win over USC on Thursday. The Ducks don’t quite have the same type of potent offense as USC, so they’ll have to rely on defense to win this one.

Dillon Brooks is the workhorse for this team and could really be the difference-maker, despite his pathetic shooting from long-range. Brooks is averaging a team-high 15.8 points as well as 6.8 rebounds with 3.1 assists. Also, watch out for Tyler Dorsey as he can drain threes with ease, shooting 46 percent from deep.
