CBS New York thinks Eli Manning is facing Tom Brady Sunday (Video)

One local CBS outlet thought that Eli Manning and Tom Brady were going to face off this week instead of Peyton against Brady.

The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots meet in the AFC Championship on Sunday, with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. It’s another in a long line of meetings between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. It could also be the last time these two players face off against each other.

While the two teams and quarterbacks prepare for their big game on Sunday, one local CBS outlet believes the Patriots are playing another Manning instead of Peyton. During a news broadcast, one local CBS station had a preview clip featuring Tom Brady next to New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

The Giants of course didn’t qualify for the playoffs, yet this local news station somehow didn’t know that it was Brady and Peyton playing Sunday.

While Brady has plenty of history with both Manning brothers on the field, it’s hard to figure out how a news station could make such a mistake. Any time Brady and Peyton are set to square off, everything else takes the back seat in sports news.

Yet somehow this station didn’t bother to check which Manning was playing on Sunday.
