Toronto Raptors guard Cory Joseph shook off Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson for a big step-back jumper.
Tyler Johnson has been having a rough night in Toronto. The Miami Heat guard has been on the wrong end of some highlight plays and it’s been a night that he would probably like to forget.
One of those plays he ended up on the wrong side of, came courtesy of Toronto Raptors guard Cory Joseph. Joseph was hounded by Johnson on defense out on the perimeter.
Joseph decided to drive in on Johnson and then pulled back so hard, that he shook of Johnson, who stumbled backwards, and nailed the step-back jumper.
That’s about as filthy as it gets on offense for Joseph and about as embarrassing on defense as it gets for Johnson. Johnson did his best initially to drape himself all over Joseph around the perimeter, but Joseph hit him hard with the drive and pulling back for the step-back jumper.
The shot brought the crowd to their feet and certainly had Johnson questioning his lateral quickness. It’s just a great play by Joseph and an even better shot on the play.
