After some good games last night and what has been a very solid week for the NBA, there are nine games on tap for tonight.  Most of the matchups are games between familiar conference foes, but there are a few inter-conference matchups as well like the Clippers making their annual trip to Madison Square Garden.  ESPN has a nice double-header tool, so there are lots of options to consider as you build your DFS fantasy basketball team for tonight.  My favorite plays of the day are on the following slides in my DraftKings daily picks.

More from Charlotte Hornets

The first game of the night tips off in Orlando at 7:00 PM ET as the Magic and Hornets get things underway.  At 7:30, there are three games in the Northeast as the Celtics host the Bulls, the Nets welcome in the Jazz, and the Clippers hit the Garden to face the Knicks. The first game with national TV coverage is the Raptors and Heat meeting for the third time this year after splitting their first two meetings.  It’s a return home for Chris Bosh who played the first seven years of his career North of the border, but its unclear what kind of team will be around him since Miami is dealing with so many injuries. In other 8:00 action, the Rockets welcome in the Bucks in a matchup with shootout potential.

In the later games hosted out West, the Mavericks take on the Thunder at 8:30, and the Lakers take on the Spurs on the second night of their back-t0-back.  ESPN concludes its double-header with the Warriors looking to improve to 20-0 at home as they take on the Pacers in what should be a high-scoring, entertaining game to close out the night.

With all those games on the schedule, there are lots of players to choose from for today’s action.  Don’t get overwhelmed, though, since my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides are a great place to start. Each position has two slides assigned to it–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two options with a few extras thrown in where possible.  I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.

This month, I also have started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but the short version is “more stars=more confidence.” On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence.  Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineups for tonight’s contests.
