Panthers forward Brandon Pirri reportedly could be on the move as multiple teams have expressed interest in him

The Florida Panthers are looking to upgrade and optimize their roster. One of their spare parts is forward Brandon Pirri. Pirri has a ton of talent but hasn’t lived up to his potential yet. The Panthers have scratched him from tonight’s game and the reason could be that he is on the move.

Over the past two seasons, Pirri has played in 95 games for the Panthers and has 31 goals and 14 assists for 45 points. He has played in 116 career games with the club and has 59 career points with them. However, the Panthers desperately need to upgrade their bottom six because they’re not getting much scoring from their third and fourth lines. Pirri is a bit of a luxury, considering that the Panthers have a solid top two forward lines even without him.

Teams that could be interested in Brandon Pirri include the New York Rangers and New York Islanders. Both teams could certainly stand to upgrade their forward core and Pirri has a ton of potential as a goal scorer. His health has been an issue in the past, but when healthy he’s good for at least 20 goals in a season. The New Jersey Devils and the Carolina Hurricanes could also be interested in Pirri.

The Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild would both makes sense from the Central Division as both teams have been very vocal about their desire to add some goal scoring in the next month or so.
