According to a report, Paris St-Germain are preparing to launch a massive bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
Robert Lewandowski has been in blistering form this season, scoring a remarkable 15 goals in 16 games. Despite his stellar performances, though, there has a been a lot of talk surrounding his future at Bayern Munich once Carlo Ancelotti replaces Pep Guardiola at the end of the current campaign.
The Italian tactician is said to be very fond of Napoli striker, Gonzalo Higuain, and as a result the Bavarian giants have been linked with a big-money move for the Argentine in the summer. However, Lewandowski should have no reason to be concerned, as several of Europe’s biggest clubs are already lining up to try and secure his services.
According to French outlet, L’Equipe, Paris St-Germain are targeting the 27-year-old to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic next season. The aforementioned report suggests that the French club are prepared to pay a staggering €100 million ($108 million) for the Polish international.
PSG will be facing a ton of competition to sign the striker though, as the likes of Real Madrid, and Manchester United, are also said to be interested in the player. He has a plethora of experience playing at the highest levels of European soccer, and would be an asset to any team.
It is highly unlikely that any move for Lewandowski would occur before the summer though, with Bayern Munich unwilling to lose one of their stars in the middle of the season.
Bayern Munich currently sit top of the table in the German top flight, with 46 points from 17 matches.
