Tyler Johnson missed a wide open dunk, virtually guaranteeing his spot on Shaqtin’ a Fool.
The Miami Heat are looking to snap a three-game losing streak, but it won’t come easy against the red hot Toronto Raptors who have won six straight and sit two games back of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference. However, misses like this won’t help the cause.
In the first quarter, Tyler Johnson turned the ball over and could’ve gotten an easy two points, had he not went for the flashy dunk and whiffed completely on the open basket.
You’ll definitely be seeing this on Shaqtin’ a Fool:
Unsurprisingly, the Air Canada Centre showered him with sarcastic cheers. Toronto will be playing host to the All-Star Game in a couple of weeks, so Tyler Johnson probably wanted to make his case for the dunk contest. However, it’s safe to say he’s out of it for good.
The Raptors were expected to be a playoff team, but their 27-15 record is impressive considering their tough schedule and the amount of injuries they’ve been through so far. Many expected Cleveland to run away with the East this year, but the Raptors are right there with them and after Cleveland’s shock firing of David Blatt, the top of the Eastern Conference could be wide open all of a sudden.
