No. 18 Butler Bulldogs vs Creighton Blue Jays
After starting the season 11-1, the Butler Bulldogs have lost four of six games and are looking to gain some confidence with a tough road game against the Creighton Bulldogs. If Butler thought it was going to run away with the Big East, it was sorely mistaken. The top of the conference is very strong with teams like Villanova and Xavier, so there’s a lot of ground to make up.

Senior guard Kellen Dunham leads the team with 16.1 points per game and shoots a decent 37 percent from behind the three-point line. Roosevelt Jones is a force on the boards despite standing just 6-foot-4. He’s averaging 14.2 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds. Kelan Martin is second in rebounds with 6.2 per game and is close behind in points with 14.1.
Creighton basketball isn’t quite the same without Doug McDermott. Now that he’s gone, the team has been forced to find a top scorer and leader, and they have done so in the form of four guys who average in double figures. With a 13-6 record and 4-2 in Big East play, Creighton will need to catch fire in the second half of the season to make a tourney run.
Maurice Watson Jr. is the team’s leading scorer with 13.7 points and 6.5 assists per game while shooting just 48 percent from the field. Isaiah Zierdan has also had a solid season, averaging 12.4 points while shooting 41 percent from three-point range.
