After spending Friday night on a turnpike due to snow, it looks like Duquesne basketball will have to spend another night.
Their is a major snowstorm that is causing havoc over the Atlantic and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. People have been ordered to shelter in place and even multiple major roads have seen closures as a result of the treacherous and terrifying storm.
Duquesne’s men’s basketball team has been stranded on a Pennsylvania turnpike since Friday, and they were hoping that they would finally be able to make it home to Pittsburgh on Saturday.
However, with the weather not showing any signs of letting up and the roads just not in any condition to be driven on, it looks as if Duquesne’s basketball team will spend another night trapped in the dangerous winter conditions that have created a sense of despair over the region.
It is becoming increasingly unlikely that #DUQMBB will be able to leave the Turnpike tonight. Preparing for another night on the bus.

It has to be a truly frightening scene for these young men that are sheltered on a bus with nothing to do but remain in place and hope that the bus can provide them warmth.
Hopefully the weather will lighten up and allow the bus to make its way back home to drop the team off. For now though, they are trapped on a turnpike with nowhere to go.
