FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 23
There are eight Saturday night NBA games to use for your DFS fantasy basketball competitions, and you can start your winning lineup with my FanDuel daily picks.
Tonight, the NBA has eight games on tap now that the Celtics-Sixers and Jazz-Wizards matchups have been delayed due to the snow storm in the Northeast. ABC picked a great time and a great matchup to debut their new Saturday night primetime game, and it’s a pretty full slate even without those two games. If’ you are planning on playing along with a daily fantasy basketball team, check out my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides to see who I think is set up for success tonight.

Lineups lock tonight at the typical 7:00 PM ET as the Bucks visit New Orleans and the Knicks take on Charlotte. At 8:00, the T-Wolves host Memphis before the ABC game tips off at 8:30 when Tyronn Lue makes his head coaching debut for the Cavaliers as they welcome in the Bulls. Two more games start in the 9:00 hour with the Suns taking on the Hawks and the Pistons visiting Denver. In the last two games of the night the Lakers travel to Portland and the Pacers continue their work out West as they take on Sacramento. One important thing to know is that the Bulls, Bucks, Hornets, Knicks, Lakers, and Pacers are all playing for the second night in a row as they complete back-to-backs.
Fatigue is just one factor to consider as you put together your lineups tonight. With 16 teams in action, there are lots of players to choose from for your DFS team. My FanDuel daily picks on the following slides are a great place to start. Each position has two slides assigned to it–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two options with a few extras thrown in where possible. I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.
This month, I also have started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but the short version is “more stars=more confidence.” On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineups for tonight’s contests.
In this post, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring. If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on our fantasy basketball hub.
If you have any questions about my picks for today or any of our Fansided fantasy coverage, you can leave them at the bottom of the page in the comments section. I’ll do my best throughout the day to get you any injury updates or lineup changes announced so that you can have the best team possible when things lock in tonight. Remember there is no late-swapping on FanDuel, so your whole lineup is frozen as soon as the first game in your competition starts.
