No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners vs No. 13 Baylor Bears

If you don’t know Buddy Hield by now, you just haven’t been paying close enough attention to college basketball. He’s arguably the top player in the country and big reason as to why the Oklahoma Sooners have risen to the No. 1 ranking in the country over the past couple of weeks. However, the Sooner are coming off their second loss of the season, this time to Iowa State on the road.

Hield is averaging a team-high 26.1 points per game while ranking among the nation’s leaders in the same category. He’s shooting over 50 percent from the field as well as from behind the three-point line, making him a serious offensive threat. Jordan Woodard is also a sharpshooter, making over 53 percent of his threes.

After losing the second game of the season to Oregon, the Baylor Bears reeled off seven straight victories and proved to be one of the top Big 12 teams in the country. Baylor also lost the Big 12 opener against Kansas in blowout fashion and the Bears have since won five straight and are looking to race into first.

Taurean Prince leads the team with 15.0 points per game while adding six rebounds. He is shooting a little over 36 percent from the three-point line and he’s proven to be Baylor’s top offensive weapon. Rico Gathers, on the other hand, is a force in the post, averaging 12.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per contest.
