AFC Championship Game: Emmanuel Sanders makes incredible catch vs Patriots
By Jack Crosby
Emmanuel Sanders made an incredible catch to bail out Peyton Manning on Sunday.
The AFC Championship Game is underway on Sunday between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots, and already in this one the receivers for Peyton Manning are coming through for him when he needs them the most.
As we all know, while Manning is indeed starting this one as he did last weekend in the win over the Kansas City Chiefs, he just doesn’t have the arm that he once did; this is something that has been well documented all season long. However, his receivers will be there for him when he needs them, and Emmanuel Sanders was on this catch in the first half.
After the Patriots had driven down the field to cut the score to 7-6, the Broncos got the ball back and Manning lofted up an absolute duck. This was a pass that could have been easily intercepted, but it was not. Sanders went up to the highest point and came down with the catch.
Manning might have issues with getting the passes off that he once did, but when he has help like this, it’s really as much of a problem as some may think.
