Cam Newton displays made a sick one-handed catch before the NFC Championship Game.

Many say that Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton could play another position in the NFL with his size (6-foot-5) if he wasn’t such a gifted passer. In warmups for the 2015 NFC Championship Game at Bank of America Stadium, Newton was able to effortlessly catch a pass with one hand in the middle of an end zone.

In what stands as the biggest game for Newton since the 2010 National Championship Game while a junior at Auburn versus the Oregon Ducks in the Fiesta Bowl, Newton looks relaxed, coming down with that impressive grab. It makes one wonder what he could do in the NFL at tight end should he have not had the accuracy to play quarterback at the professional level. Maybe he’s learned a thing or two from teammate and Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen?

For the Panthers to get to their second Super Bowl in franchise history, Newton will have to lead the Carolina offense against the strong secondary of the Arizona Cardinals. Newton will play opposite another Pro Bowl passer and former Heisman Trophy winner in Arizona’s Carson Palmer. Palmer has thrived in stretching the field vertically head coach Bruce Arians’ aerial attack in 2015.

The winner of the NFC Championship Game will play the winner of the 2016 AFC Championship Game between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
