David Johnson pounds it in from one-yard line for a touchdown (Video)

Cardinals running back David Johnson pounded the ball into the endzone from the one yard line to put his team on the scoreboard against the Panthers 

The Arizona Cardinals found themselves needing a touchdown, trailing the Panthers 17-0 in the second quarter of the NFC Championship Game. They turned to their quarterback Carson Palmer and their running back David Johnson.

After getting pushed around a bit by the Panthers early, Johnson came storming back as he helped lead the Panthers down to the one-yard line. He got it in himself to cut the Panthers’ deficit to 17-7.

Johnson has been involved early and often so far for the Cardinals. He had 125 rushing attempts for Arizona during the regular season. He had 581 rushing yards averaging 4.6 yards per carry. He had eight rushing touchdowns during the regular season. The versatile back added 36 receptions for 457 receiving yards. He also added four receiving touchdowns.

David Johnson had 21 touches against the Packers for 78 total yards in the divisional round. He rushed the ball 15 times for 35 yards and had six receptions for 43 yards. The rookie from Northern Iowa was picked in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
