High Salary W

Patrick Kane-Chicago Blackhawks ($8,900): Kane’s salary has dipped back down below the $9,000 mark. It’s still high, but he’s more affordable than he was a week ago. Kane makes for a great target tonight thanks to the fact that he was held pointless his last time out. That’s something that rarely happens, and the last time that it did, he exploded for a hat trick and an assist in the next game. The game with St. Louis tonight will be a tough one, so expect Kane to bring his “A” game tonight.

Tyler Toffoli-LA Kings ($6,000): Toffoli has showed up in a big was this season for the Kings. He’s racked up 22 goals and 14 assists and is on pace to eclipse 40 goals. Toffoli has become become a hot fantasy commodity, and for good reason. He’s averaging 3.5 fantasy points a game and has three goals in his last six games. He has been held pointless in the last two games, but still, you can hardly go wrong with Toffoli right now.

Johnny Gaudreau-Calgary Flames ($7,000): Gaudreau is another Flame worth starting tonight. The youngster is enjoying  a great year with 20 goals and 26 assists through 45 games. He picked up a goal on Thursday night and has a two-game point streak with seven points in six games. Gaudreau is usually on the ice for around 22 or 23 minutes each game, making him an excellent fantasy option on most nights.

High Value W

Joonas Donskoi-San Jose Sharks ($3,200): Donskoi took a while to break out during his rookie season, but he’s clearly hot now with a four-game point streak. He picked up a goal and an assist on Saturday and now has five points in his last four games. Donskoi has quickly become one of the better rookies in the NHL. If the production keeps up his price tag won’t stay as low as it is. Take advantage of him now.

Troy Brouwer-St. Louis Blues ($3,900): Brouwer hasn’t been a popular player in fantasy hockey this season but he has quietly put together a nice stretch recently. He picked up an assist in his last game and has three points in the last three games. He’s not always a reliable fantasy source, but he’s worth taking a flier on tonight against Chicago.

Phillip Di Giuseppe-Carolina Hurricanes ($2,800): If you really want to free up some cap space tonight then take a look Phillip Di Giuseppe. He’s been going between the NHL and the AHL this season and has done well at both levels. He was just recently recalled by the Hurricanes after missing eight games while recovering from a concussion. In 14 games with Carolina this season he has put up a total of eight points. He’s played in the last two games and has failed to register a point, but should be getting back into the flow after his layoff. He’s a deep sleeper pick tonight with a good matchup. The Flames are ranked 23 in points allowed to left wingers.
